FAQS

HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

Orders received before 2 p.m. EST will be packed and shipped on the same business day. Shipping could take three to five business days. Shipping for international orders may take seven to fourteen business days. We take great pride in the fact that Chamva offers the fastest shipping at the most reasonable price.

We usually use FedEx for international orders and UPS for orders within the United States. Both services arrive within three to five business days, and they frequently arrive even sooner. We have negotiated some of the finest rates in the business over decades of shipping with these two carriers, particularly when sending internationally. We regularly update the inventory on our website to reduce backorders and delays. There can be a brief waiting time of a few days if things are ordered before they appear to be sold out. You will receive an email with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) and an option to exchange items for ones from a different category if there is a lengthy wait for any of the items in your order. We can always give you a complete refund if you decide not to wait.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MODERN AND VINTAGE?

Vintage clothing was made before 2009, and modern clothing has been manufactured within the last 15 years. Every item of apparel we have is of superior quality, one-of-a-kind, and vintage thrift store style. All blends, unless specified differently on individual product pages, include both modern and vintage items to maximize the resale value of each order.

For additional details on category-specific blends and sample images of what to expect in each, please visit our product sites. Product pages are regularly updated to guarantee accuracy. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries!

WHAT IS THE QUALITY GRADE?

All of our used mixtures, unless specified differently on category or product pages, include apparel in the following categories:

~85% Grade A condition (no major stains or holes)
~15% Grade B condition (minor stains, holes or rips)

Please keep in mind that these are used goods, and while we always try to provide the greatest quality possible, some may have some wear and tear. That actually adds to the appeal.

The following applies to all mixes, unless otherwise noted on product or category pages:

Grade A 85% -/+

Grade B 15% -/+

Grade C 0%

Up to 10% of premium vintage is included in orders for any wholesale blends that contain more than ten pieces.

Grade A: Items may have stains that are hardly perceptible or washable, and are deemed to be in almost perfect condition. We try our best to give or trash any stuff we find unsalable, and we don't launder any of our apparel.

Grade B: Fashionably distressed, tiny holes, and stains that might or might not come out of the washer are among the items. Given that many of these goods are more than 15 years old, you might find some with damaged images, pilling, and general wear and tear.

Grade C: Larger-than-pinhole holes, stains, cracks, or worn-out designs are possible on some items. The primary purpose of this grade is salvage for upcycling or recycling clothes into new items.

To maintain the lowest possible rates, we don't wash our clothes before sending them out. This implies that a rare item may have minor flaws when it arrives.

HOW ARE MIXES PACKED?

We take great pride in the curation of our mixes, just as we do with our grade quality. We have devoted and skilled grading specialists working for us who select things from every category. We forbid handpicking or the acquisition of "premium" products from any category in order to preserve the greatest integrity in our blends. We have always done business in this manner and will keep doing so out of fairness to all of our clients, no matter how big or small.

DO YOU TAKE RETURNS?

Please refer to our return policy since all sales are final and no exchanges or refunds are accepted for vintage items, which are sold "as is." Please get in touch with us as soon as possible after receiving your order if it was damaged in transit or if there was a mistake in the sizing or packing process. This will allow us to file a claim and fix the problem. We don't take refunds or exchanges for styles that don't fit right. Please send us pictures if we make a mistake (too many broken items or incorrect categorization), and we'll correct it. Order cancellations will result in a 10% restocking fee; illegal returns will also be charged this amount. After 30 days, no exchanges or returns are accepted.

WASH BEFORE USE.

To maintain the lowest possible rate, we don't wash our clothes before sending them out. Before wearing any of our clothing, we advise washing. Our clothes may arrive with small holes, stains, fading, or snagging of fabric because they are frequently over fifteen years old.

WHERE DOES THE CLOTHING COME FROM?

The short answer is that the majority of the apparel is donated. A lesser portion of the merchandise comes from charities and private donation companies, but the majority comes from larger donation organizations like Goodwill and Salvation Army. Typically, these donation companies sell the majority of the clothes they get to textile recyclers, who resell the mixed-used clothing by container to other countries worldwide, keeping a tiny portion of the clothing to sell retail in their own thrift stores. It is also important to note that American used apparel is in great demand worldwide because of a variety of criteria, including well-known brands, fashion, excellence, and abundance.
